Maize is culture that during vegetation period needs a high quantity of nutrients (N, K, P, Mg, Ca, Zn etc.). Most of these nutrients, maize absorbs by the root from the soil absorbing complex, and therefore it is very important to apply basic fertilization during ploughing correctly with appropriate fertilizers. Beside basic fertilization, for maize it is favorable to apply foliar fertilization treatment together with herbicides application. Adequate time for this operation is when maize is in 4-6 leaves stadium.
